Wednesday afternoon - the classes will be taught by Mrs Hill & Mrs Collis while Miss Walker & Mrs Williams have PPA time.

Don't forget coats and water bottles every day!

In English, we will read the story, Rapunzel. The children will write informal letters from Rapunzel.

Our spelling rule for the week: adding the suffixes -er and -est to words ending in e. They will drop the e then add -er (bake - baker) or -est (nice - nicest). See the spelling shed tab for a parent's guide and link to the spellng shed website.

In Maths, the children will find the difference between amounts of money by counting on from the smaller amount to the larger amount, they will then use this method to calculate change (by finding the difference) and will solve 2-step problems involving money.

In Science, the children will use magnifying glasses to make careful observations of different seeds.

In Art, the children will finish their piece of work for the Holmes Chapel 80th anniversary of D-Day commemoration.

In DT, the children will learn how to sew using running stitch in preparateion for making a glove puppet.

In PE, the children will practise their athletics skills in preparation for sports day.

In RE, the children will start their unit of work learning about Islam. They will work to answer the Key Question: Does going to a Mosque give Muslims a sense of belonging?
