Week 39 in Class Ra

Class: Reception Year: 2023 - 2024

We have had a busy week in Reception!

On Monday we designed and wrote cards for our buddies.

On Tuesday the children enjoyed an ice lolly!

In Maths this week we have been looking at weight. The children have compared objects using a balancing scale. They then discussed which object was heavier and which object was lighter.

We played lots of sports games outside, including Olympics-style events, such as javelin throwing, hurdles and running races. We have done yoga and mindfulness activities too to help cool our bodies in this warm weather.

On Thursday, the children visited their new class and spent some time with Miss Goodwin.

On Friday, we had a forest school day! We made bug hotels, potions, rainbow pictures and a magic wand using a stick and ribbon.

This week’s VIP has been Bailey! Bailey loves being outdoors and playing with playdough. Well done Bailey!
