Week 38 in Class R

Class: Reception Year: 2023 - 2024

This week, Reception have been learning French. We have learnt how to say different colours in French and a few greetings, as well as doing lots of fact-finding about France and its capital, Paris. We discussed how to get there and how long it might take. We have been building famous French buildings, such as the Eiffel Tower, out of our building blocks and creating rainbows using our knowledge of French colours. We have also been learning about the Olympic Games, which this year will take place in Paris! We're looking forward to watching all the athletes competing in their events and races.

On Friday, we got to fulfil our Cube Jar Treat because we have worked so hard all term. We chose to come to school in own clothes or fancy dress, which has been so much fun! We got to watch the Year 6 summer performance, which was really funny. In the afternoon, we watched a movie set in France about a beauty and a beast, whilst enjoying a few French treats! We spread jam onto baguettes and sipped at hot chocolates. Yummy!
