Week 36 in Class Ra

Class: Reception Year: 2023 - 2024

This week in Ra we have been learning all about the Olympics. We made a list of all sports that happen at the Olympics. The children discussed which sports they are looking forward to watching. We also looked at inspirational Olympic athletes. We read the text ‘The Ancient Olympic Games’ and discussed where the olympics began. We looked at the differences between the Olympics then and now.

On Tuesday we performed our singing concert. The children were brilliant! Thank you to everyone who came and watched our performance!

In Maths this week we have revisited doubles. We worked in partners to share out counters, we then discussed whether they were doubles or not. We made a list of all the doubles and a list of all the non-doubles.

On Friday we had our KS1 Sports Day. I was so impressed with all of the children and how hard they all tried! Well done Ra!

This week’s VIP has been Penelope. Penelope is a kind and caring member of our class! Penelope loves art and drawing. Well done! We enjoyed looking at the red teams show and tell this week.
