Week 36 in Class R

Class: Reception Year: 2023 - 2024

This week, Reception have been getting sporty! On Friday, we participated in our first ever Sports Day! We had so much fun and really appreciated all the parents and carers who came to watch. It was such a special day. We took part in sprints, buddy races and egg and spoon races - and the Blues won! We learnt about being good sportspeople by looking at athletes such as Mo Farah and Usain Bolt, who have won lots of gold medals and even set world records. We also learnt about the beginnings of the Olympic Games, which started in Ancient Greece, in our non-fiction book of the week "The Ancient Olympic Games."

This week, we also sang in a special singing concert for our grown-ups. We have practiced so much for it and really enjoyed being able to showcase all our songs, complete with actions. It was also really fun to link up with our Year 6 buddies again.
