Little Moreton Hall Class 4

Lesson: History

Class: Year 4 Year: 2018 - 2019

Today Class 4 visited Little Moreton Hall, which is one of the finest examples of a timber-framed, Tudor manor house in England.  On our trip, we learnt  about the Moreton family, the period in which the house was built and what life may have been like over 500 years ago.

The children toured the house and discovered how the house was built. Back to school we will use this knowledge to look at the differences between rich and poor Tudor homes, even building our own Tudor house.  The children enjoyed two workshops on how the building was built and also discovered how the Tudors dressed, comparing the rich and poor!

As always our Living History day was most memorable and we do hope that your child enjoyed. We certainly did!
